Google Street View images from Jerusalem’s Russian Compound are translated from image to text and back into image through AI. Into this process I introduce images of people captured in specific bodily gestures, drawn from a personal image atlas assembled over the years. The resulting images are transferred to analog photographic processes and printed in the darkroom. The file-like titles record each image’s sequence of sources, dates, and transformations, functioning as a trace of its construction.
